Administrators tour MTSSR

An Educational visit by "FRESH Management Course for Administrators" was held yesterday at Sultan Saiful Rizal Technical College (MTSSR) in Jalan Muara.

The visitors comprised 18 administrator officers from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar. The participants consist of principals and directors of VTET from Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, a ceremony was also held at the Hospitality and Tourism MTSSR Training Restaurant.

The course, which began January 24, was aimed at enhancing their knowledge and skills in managing institutions and adhere to the FRESH concept. With this they are required to develop action plans that they could implement upon return to their respective institutions.

The ceremony began with the recital of al-Fatihah led by Alias bin Hj Abu Bakar, Acting Principal (Education and Training) MTSSR, and was followed by a welcoming speech by Hjh Zainab, Deputy Principal (Administration) MTSSR.

Also present at the event was the Acting Principal (Education and Training) of MTSSR Pg Suhaimi Pg Hj Bakar where he welcomed the participants to MTSSR.

Pg Suhaimi led the visit with an introduction of Sultan Saiful Rizal Technical College (MTSSR) to the participants.

In his speech, he mentioned the various courses available in the college, as well as the changes and challenges ahead. He also mentioned the growing demand for bringing changes in upgrading courses such as in higher national diplomas and how such courses are available in the college, which are recognised aboard.

Participants also had the opportunity to visit various departments around MTSSR, including the Hospitality and Tourism Department, Aircraft Department, Mechanical Department and also the new resource centre building, which will be launched soon.
