"This is a property that is either an excellent 4-star hotel or a poor 5-star hotel. The food in their main restaurant is expensive and mediocre. The breakfast buffet was less than what I'm used to getting in a 3-star asian hotel. The staff is very friendly, but their English is so bad that miscommunications happen more often than not. In the end we gave up on trying to ask the staff anything. "The hotel is split by a small road. The road cause no problem. It is small, but if traveling with small children you might ask to have your room on the side with the pool and restaurant. We stayed in a deluxe room on the new side that also. The pool is a beautifully maintained salt water pool surrounded by a garden. The breakfast buffet had many choices including cereal, eggs cooked to order, bacon, sausage, fried rice and rice soup, noodles, 3 different juices, pasteries, freshly brewed coffee...on and on. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated 50 meters from one of the main tourist streets. Just far enough away that there is no room noise. The room had a nice balcony (I think all rooms do. The balcony is enclosed by 2 louvered doors and a glass door. It was the quietest hotel I have stayed in. The staff spoke English well and was always available and helpful. We ate at the restaurant for lunch one day with our guide. The food took a long time to be served. The food was tasty but I would advise only eating breakfast there and try one of the many wounderful eateries just a few steps away.
